I can't remember the first time I picked up a pencil. It seems like the desire to create was present from inception.  Drawings sprawled across sketch pads and margins in school books. This obsession to bring the fantastic to life lead me to get into filmmaking (graduating from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA), specifically special effects. Stop motion animation, prosthetics, and animatronics were all techniques I utilized during my years in the film industry to bring various characters and creatures to life.

My interest in computer graphics grew.  CGI emerged as a prevalent tool in special effects, and I moved into the digital world as well. Years of working with clay, rubber and paint translated and transformed into polygons and pixels.

Digital imagery combines a wonderful mixture of sculpture, painting, technology and something magical that I can't even comprehend. It's constantly changing, growing. The possibilities are endless and always exciting.

I now find myself like a kid with a fresh drawing pad. I hope you enjoy the results of my new pencil.
